We have Matcha, Sencha, Tokyo Lime and Gen Mai Cha which are all great Japanese teas.
I’m looking for a good quality Green tea
Our Buddha’s Tears is one of our best quality tea. This tea uses the most young tea leaves which are hand rolled into dragon pearl balls to prevent the tea from aging as fast. This green tea is somewhat similar to our white teas because of this.
Alternatively, our Dragon Well tea is also a highly prized green tea and few tea merchants stock this in New Zealand.
I’m looking for a tea as a healthy drink
All of our teas are healthy in some way:
White, Green, Black, Oolong teas and Red bush teas:
Studies have shown that the antioxidants contained within tea may have anti-aging effects as well as being able to decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease and even the risk of cancer.
We especially recommend Green teas which are naturally higher in these antioxidants and White teas which have three times more of these antioxidants compared to the average tea.
Herbal teas
These teas combine several healthy herbs to produce a healthy and delicious drink.
We have a wide selection of these each with different health benefits including increasing memory, helping with headaches, flu and sore throats, as well as helping you relax and sleep and much much more.
Fruit teas
Because it uses real chunky pieces of fruit, our fruit teas are delicious but also high in fibre and vitamins. Do not be fooled by fruit teas sold by other merchants as they commonly contain artificial flavorings!
I do not want to take any caffeine into my system
We have many caffeine free alternatives
Our Red bush tea selection is high in antioxidants but caffeine free.
Our Herbal tea selection includes a wide range of health beneficial herbs which do not contain caffeine. They are delicious too.
Our Fruit teas are also great healthy and delicious tea which are caffeine free.
I am pregnant – what you should avoid?
We recommend Jasmine flower as it relieves nausea and muscle/back pains. It is also good for post natal depression
Ginger tea would help with nausea, such as Honeybush Ginger.
Peppermint and Manuka Mint are also good too.
Consume less caffeine. We recommend avoiding white, green, oolong, and black teas
I have low blood pressure, what teas should I drink?
You can consume most of our teas. However, we recommend you to avoid any Green tea and also Cassia Seed as it lowers blood pressure. This could make you feel sick.
